The University of Pécs is planning to start the spring semester of the academic year 2021/2022 in personal attendance form. This was decided by the UP Operational Staff at its meeting on 21 January. "In justified cases, the dean may exceptionally authorize digital teaching frameworks", the decision states.

Infection by Omicron, which typically produces milder symptoms, has increased. The Operational Staff requests that all citizens of the University of Pécs use the online epidemiological reporting platform of the University of Pécs. The purpose of this is to enable the Operational Staff to get a clearer picture of whether further action is needed.

By using this online epidemiological reporting platform, you contribute to a safer work environment and enable the University of Pécs to provide up-to-date, reliable data.

What you need to report:

• the start and end dates of epidemiological observation, official quarantine;
• the start and end dates of isolation;
• the start and end dates of self-isolation (only students);
• the SARS-CoV-2 PCR test results, other COVID-19 (antigen) quick test and its result

For those released from the official quarantine, the Joint Instruction of the Rector and the Chancellor of No 11/2021, issued earlier, is still in force. It stipulates that "as a condition of entry into the buildings of the University, the head of the department concerned may require the employee, who has been released from the official quarantine for confirmed coronavirus infection, and/or is not producing any symptoms, to provide a negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR result, obtained within three days before entry."
